Our family adventure recently took us to one of the most stunning hidden gems in Snowdon—a secret man made infinity pool that is nestled within the breathtaking landscapes of this iconic mountain range on the A4086. By now, it is fairly well known and it is not hard to find with some quick internet searches but let me take you through our time there without giving away too much about its exact location.
Please DM us on Instagram if you need any pointers.
The Adventure Begins.
Firstly, we attempted to visit one morning on a weekend but had to drive past as we could not get parked at all. Apparently it is a very popular area for climbers and we did not feel like parking in the next town and walking some distance back so we postponed it as we were coming back through on a weekday in a couple of days time.
A few days later, we set out from the west coast of Wales and drove 40 minutes midweek and thankfully, there was lots of space in one of the large lay-by’s.
With everyone eager to explore. Equipped with our hiking boots, child carriers (with kids in them), and plenty of snacks, we set off to try and fine the pool with a hazy memory of the route from previous searches before our journey some 2 months ago.
Into the struggle!
The trail is fairly easy to follow once through the gate and the whole area has stunning views of Snowdon’s mountain range. I will not lie, the path up is very steep and is straight up for about 20 minutes. It was tough with the kids on our backs so take breaks when needed. We didn’t quite know what to expect. We had only seen pictures online about the infinity pool but had no clear directions—only clues, so up we went.

I will review these separately at a later date.
The Hidden Gem
After 20 sweaty minutes we arrived at the secluded spot. There, nestled among the rocks and fed by a crystal-clear stream, was the secret infinity pool. The water cascaded gently over the edge, creating an infinity effect with the stunning backdrop of the mountains.
We had the whole place to ourselves. The tough walk up was absolutely worth it.
Preserving the Secret
As much as we’d love to share the exact location, part of the magic of this infinity pool is the adventure of finding it. It is also very well known now so i don’t think you will have trouble finding it online (I didn’t) but please reach out if you need help.
As always, we were a little sad to see some rubbish left so please take any rubbish home with you.
